CEREMONY
There are many special locations across our Estate to hold your ceremony including the Circa 1876 Gardens, Chapel, Wisteria Garden and Convent Fountain. Each has its own unique atmosphere and mood, catering for all wedding visions and styles.
Circa 1876 Garden ceremonies include twelve white pews, with white Tiffany chairs available for the Convent Fountain, Wisteria Garden and The Chapel.
Each venue is complete with a signing table and two chairs along with use of the hotel grounds for photography and an alternate wet weather back up option.
RECEPTION VENUES
The Convent is the epitome of luxury and perfect for the finest destination wedding in the Hunter Valley. With three separate locations to choose from across the Estate, impeccable service, and our innate ability to understand your vision, we will work with you to create a unique celebration for a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.
Circa 1876
A short stroll down the tree-lined driveway is Circa 1876, the Hunter Valley’s most iconic restaurant, located in an historic cottage on the picturesque grounds of Roscrea Estate. Circa 1876 showcases local and regional produce with some great Hunter Valley wines in an award-winning wine list.
Circa 1876 has a strong focus on the “farm to fork” ethos using organic produce that is ethical and sustainable with the vast majority of produce sourced from the Estate’s nearby organic kitchen garden and chicken coop.
You may also like to experience the eclectic charm of the Champagne Lounge, with its open fire to relax after dinner.
Circa 1876 is an ideal venue for private intimate weddings through to weddings up to 150 guests or 170 guests for a cocktail style event. Boasting chandeliers, large wooden beams, and rustic décor along with the original cottage, this space is magnificent to either keep as its original form or to be styled without limitations.
The Chapel
Picture perfect for true romantics, The Chapel is ideal for a small intimate wedding. Originally built in 1888, this Welsh Baptist Chapel has been lovingly restored. Although not consecrated it is an ideal setting for private wedding receptions and cocktail functions up to 40 guests.
Restaurant Eighty Eight
Restaurant Eighty Eight is located inside the iconic Convent. The restaurant name is taken from the street address of Convent and as it is such an auspicious number it has been melded firmly into the title. Double eights symbolize infinite prosperity and happy relationships which bodes well for a restaurant set in the heart of a hotel that is the scene for so many marriage proposals and nuptials. Restaurant Eighty Eight offers French doors that open up into our Wisteria Courtyard and is an ideal venue for private intimate weddings up to 40 guests or 60 guests for a cocktail style event.
